Calebra is a world of magical powers, based upon a crystalline element, called landia. Traces of this crystal, absorbed over time by certain individuals, give them great powers to manipulate energy and matter. These are the wizards. But there are also sorcerers, feared necromancers who gain powers by summoning spirits of the dead and creatures from other dimensions. The Kingdom of Palendar has considered Sorcery an abomination ever since Prince Tarnelas founded the kingdom, leading his followers, anti-sorcery zealots from Kalajhan, through trap-infested mountain mazes, into the Palendar Valley, leaving behind the practices of their ancestors.
The Warlord’s Blade
Lord Darios is a sorcerer, a vile dealer in necromancy. Banished by the Wizards’ Council or Order of the Earth-powered, he seeks revenge: the conquering of all Calebra.
Unaided, Darios’ earth-power is awesome, but with the Ice-Fire of Calebra, a huge landia crystal capable of amplifying his powers, he and his demon armies could prove invincible.
Calebra’s only hope is Palendar’s warlord, Valias. He is a deadly Warrior of Darkness, a master of deadly combat arts, and a brilliant general. But can he lead his warriors against the endless demon horde of the sorcerer and hold them back long enough to be able to face Darios, himself?
Armed with a power-sword created for him by the wizard, Taronlas, a master’s blade with a hilt made of purest landia crystal, he must pit his skills against the greatest master of wizardry and sorcery his people have ever seen.
The Wizard’s Quest
The evil sorcerer, Darios, seeks domination of the world of Calebra, his inhuman army sweeping south, destroying all who stand against it. Calebra’s hopes of survival rest on the shoulders of two young men: Landon, Crown-Prince of the Kingdom of Palendar, seemingly destined to be Calebra’s most powerful wizard, yet totally untrained in his wizard’s powers; and Narell, his cousin, master swordsman and martial artist, and Warlord of Palendar. While Narell and his warriors try to hold the armies of Darios at bay, Landon must unravel the mystery of his heritage, and prevent Darios from gaining possession of the Ice-Fire of Calebra, a huge and powerful landia crystal. With it to amplify his powers, Darios would be unstoppable.
The Sorcerer’s Gambit
- Lord Landon is dead, mysteriously.
- His son, Darion, has disappeared.
- Scrolls pertaining to sorcery have been stolen from the Order of the Earth-Powered.
- The mysterious thief seems to be a deadly Warrior of Darkness.
- Fragments of the Ice-Fire of Calebra are disappearing from all the kingdoms.
- All Calebra trembles to earthquakes and disruptions in the flow of magical earthpower.
In the wake of these revelations, Narell’s son, Kendar, must find this enemy and the beautiful warrior-woman who aids him. Is he to kill this renegade or help him? For the mission of this thief awakens the greatest controversy in all Calebra: To save their world from destruction, the thief must find the parent kingdom, Kalajhan, and become what Calebra fears most – a sorcerer!
Revenge of the Wolf
King Darion, Queen Shaelara, and infant Prince Landorlas, along with Captain Nelron of the King’s Guard are in southeast Palendar, promoting the idea of an Elected Council, when a terrorist detonates a bomb, completely destroying the Royal Coach.
Narell returns to Palendar to take the throne, while certain baronets continue to plot. Their plan: use terrorism to prevent the formation of an Elected Council. Their real mission: to place Baron Trellmar on the throne. This requires the removal of one more king, King Narell.
But the terrorists face terror themselves in the form of a mysterious vigilante, The Wolf – a master of disguise and a master of death – a deadly vad-Taelen or Warrior of Darkness. Working in secret with another vad-Taelen who calls himself Valias, The Wolf must piece together clues to prove the guilt of certain barons, wizards, and their sons.
Palendar lives in fear. Is The Wolf hero or villain? Who is he? What has made him become the terror of the night in Palendar? How will Palendar react to the shock of learning who the traitors really are? About as shocked as when they learn the true identity of The Wolf!
The Pirate’s Nemesis
After fifteen years, King Darion refuses to give up the hope of finding his missing son, even though the Order has long-since reduced its efforts.
Meanwhile, on a south sea island, a young man of unusual powers and talents grows up as the adopted son of the king. His people terrorized by pirates, he leads a revolt against their oppressors, only to have it smashed down by superior force. The king’s daughter is kidnapped by the pirates as punishment.
Kadua-ka sets out to steal a ship from the pirates and find the stolen princess. Now the pirates face a terrible enemy, for Kadua-ka is really Prince Landorlas, son of King Darion, and every bit the warrior, wizard and sorcerer his father and grandfather were.
