Once a Samurai ...
Michael Cameron has been a biology teacher, a musician, a novelist, and a martial arts instructor. All his life he’s been an intelligent problem-solver but, when all else fails, his source of stability, his grounding force has been the Zen teachings of the Shaolin and the discipline of Bushido. When his world is turned upside-down by the failure of his second marriage, (Michael’s first wife died of cancer), Mike disappears, spending two years in Japan, China, and Tibet. The death of his mother and learning that his father, former Detective Inspector Will Cameron, is dying of lung cancer, bring Michael back home to Halifax, where he opens a martial arts studio.

At first Mike is reluctant, but now it’s becoming personal. He’s been marked as a target and one was sent to kill him. If that isn’t enough to shake his world view, wait ’til he finds out why the martial arts always came so easily to him and why he’s so fast.

Shinobi: SAMURAI for MI6
When Bruce Mason MI6’s 00–Section Training Supervisor, Bruce Mason, goes missing, along with files that reveal the names and fitness status of 00–agents, and circumstantial evidence points to Russian involvement.
With the press branding Mason a traitor, hoping to embarrass MI6, C, the new head of MI6, turns to agent Samurai for help. Can he locate Mason, rescue him, return him to England, and prove his innocence?
Mike soon uncovers evidence in the Russian Federation of dark conspiracy, leading all the way back to the notorious 1999 bombing incidents, and, ultimately, very close to the doorstep of Putin, himself, and discovers that the KGB still exists, but now calls itself the FSB.
New Unnamed SAMURAI novel (being written)
After the Bruce Mason rescue for MI6, Mike participates in training exercises with Britain’s Special Boat Service (UK equivalent of US Navy SEALs) and passes tests that qualify him for a Royal Navy Leftenant Commander rank.
Winter 2015 finds him back home, dealing with a weird and witchy child–abduction case near his own neighbourhood — a case that crosses paths with a local First Nation (Mi’kmaw) reserve, as well as aspects of Arthurian legend connected to Myrddin (Merlin).
